How To: Browse Indian Statutes
Read Statutes by Section by following these simple steps.
Login to your SCC Online Account and on the Navigation Dashboard select the "Find Case Law by Section" Tile.
It will then navigate you to the "FIND CASE LAW BY SECTION / RULE" page.
In the example below, we show you how to read the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988, Section 9.
In the drop-down menu select "Acts, Statues, Ordinances".
Then search for Motor Vehicles Act 1988 then click on "Find in Title" button.
Select the section of your choice from the list (In this example we select Section 9) and Click "Go" button.
It will then take you to the familiar 3 Panel results page where you can click through the sections in the second column and read them in third column.
To read judgments related to this particular section, navigate to panel 1 of the results page and select "Judgments" from the Filter tree.
